Become a 2023 Glamp Counselor
Are you interested in finding a new opportunity to enhance your Glamp experience? Glamp is gearing up for another exciting year and we are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and helpful counselors to help us create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment for our Glampers! Just like summer camp, Glamp Counselors create a smaller, more personal experience at the unit level. By signing up to be a counselor, you’ll create camp magic by guiding lots of long-lasting memories.
The ideal counselor will be able to join us for a summer information session, communicate with their unit before Glamp and of course, host their unit’s Friday night campfire program. If you’re planning to invite a group of women to Glamp (new or returning), we’d encourage you to be a counselor so that we can support you as you make their experience special and meaningful.
The Counselor Role:
- Counselors take an active role in recruiting and spread the word by inviting friends, family, and colleagues to join the Glamp festivities.
- Counselors are a source of information for their units, so we’ve added a summer information session where counselor’s will get a sneak peak at the Glamp 2023, discuss the Friday night activity, and brainstorm a few surprise and delights for their unit! We’ll offer ample time for questions to finalize our FAQ for counselors. These sessions are flexible and work with any busy schedule.
- Counselors will be asked to disseminate a few key communications pre/post Glamp. They’ll help personalize the experience and ensure everyone has the information they need to prepare for Glamp 2023.
- Counselors will plan the unit-based Friday night campfire activity.
Unit Experience:
- Each unit can house between 26-40 glampers, there are five outdoor units and four indoor units. In each outdoor unit there are smaller cabins in a cluster so you will still be close with plenty of elbow room. Each unit should have 2 co-counselors and loads of fun.
- Your unit will include your friends, but will likely also include people outside your immediate circle. As a Glamp counselor, we ask that you help bridge the gaps, bring groups together and create an atmosphere that is reminiscent of summer camp and the Girl Scout motto, "be a sister to every Girl Scout."
- Each unit is encouraged to have a theme décor for the weekend, if you’re not creative let your head counselor know and you can develop something together.
- Each unit will have a Friday night campfire to help welcome campers and create an inclusive, fun feeling for your unit. Your head counselor will help prep you for this, but getting to really take care of your cabin(s) is one of the most rewarding parts of being a counselor.
Spots are limited but the experience is limitless! Grab your favorite human to join you as co-counselor and get signed up today!
